Where can I find a map of the Fairgrounds?
You can find a map of the fairgrounds under the MAP and DIRECTIONS tab 

What time do the Fairgrounds gates open each day during the fair?
Monday – Friday (June 24th – 28th)  4pm
Saturday (June 29th) 10am 

What hours is the carnival open?
Monday – Friday 6 to 11 pm
Saturday 1 pm to 11 pm
(Depending on the weather)

Is alcohol allowed on the grounds?
No alcohol is allowed on the Boone County Fairgrounds. 

Where are lost items claimed?
Lost and Found can be located in the Fair Kitchen and at the Kissel Welcome center in the midway.  During the fair, you can reach the Fair Kitchen at (859) 586-9968. 

Can I bring a motorized wheelchair to the fair?
Yes, motorized and manual wheelchairs are welcomed at the fair. Mobility around the grounds has been made easier by the recent paving of the midways and walkways. Strollers/wagons are also allowed. 

Do you have ATMs on the grounds?
Yes, an ATM machine is conveniently located at Kissell’s Welcome Center. 

What happens if it rains while I’m at the fair?
The rides may not be operated during the rain. Once the rain has subsided, the operators will open back up as quickly as possible. In the case of rain or any sort of bad weather that forces the closing of the fair for the remainder of the day, there are no refunds on your admission. There are no rain checks issued for another day so check out the weather and our social media pages (facebook/website) before you come. If it looks like the weather will pass and the fair will resume operation that day, you may get your hands stamped for re-entry or have your admission ticket for re-entry on THAT DAY ONLY. 

If I need to leave the fairgrounds, can I get back in?
In order to return you must have your admission ticket or have your hand stamped before leaving, you may come back onto the fairgrounds on the same day only. 

What does gate admission include?
    Admission of $15.00 to the fair allows you to visit and
experience the Motorsports events, Live Music, Horse Shows,
Beauty Pageants/Baby Shows, variety of exhibits, unlimited
rides and parking. 

Are pets allowed during the fair?
We highly discourage pets during the fair for health and safety
reasons. Please leave your pet(s) at home. Service Animals to
provide assistance to an individual with a disability are
