4-H ENTOMOLOGY
Folding cardboard insect-collection boxes available through the Extension office should be used.
Other exhibit boxes may be used—Consult the State Fair catalog or contact the Extension
office for EXACT specifications of exhibits. Identification labels available from the Extension
Office (586-6101) must be used or custom labels can be used if they conform to project
specifications. Instructions for pinning and labeling are included in project literature.

Any type of display that pertains to experiences beyond those of previous projects.
Special collections of native and/or exotic butterflies, beetles to some other insect
order; a study in depth of one insect or small group of insects; a display of insect
camouflage; a display of plastic embedded insects; a collection of insect larvae and
nymphs are examples. No exhibit that has been judged in any previous State Fair may
be entered.
